Would you like the chance to read my new releases before their official launch date?

Please join the team!

I’m expanding my Advanced Reader Team.  I’m thrilled to be doing this and would love to have you as part of the team.

One of the most important things for me during the launch of a new release (critical, really) is to get reviews for that book on the day it launches. You probably look at reviews every time you make a purchase, and so do I. Almost everyone else does, too.

Not only do reviews help persuade readers to take a chance on an author they’ve never read before, but reviews posted on launch day help drive early sales. That, in turn, means that Amazon takes notice and starts to market my book on my behalf. And no one markets a book better than Amazon.

In order to make that happen, I rely on a small team of loyal and engaged Advanced Readers. Here’s how it works. I send a link for my upcoming new release to my Advance Reader Team about a week before it is set to launch. The team can then download the book to whatever reading device they choose for FREE.  Each member then reads it and posts a quick and honest review on the book’s launch day (I remind everyone when the day comes).

It’s super easy, and all that is required is for every member to post an honest review on launch day.  I like to think that it’s a pretty fair exchange. But remember, this only works if you can read and review a book within about a week.

Take care-

Happy spring!

Happy spring!

Happy spring to you!

How are you? I hope that you are doing great!

It’s been a fun hectic wonderful time here for the Lavrisa clan. Two weekends ago we threw a full-blown surprise wedding. In my opinion the two words “surprise” and “wedding” should never ever be together let alone done, but my son felt differently. You might be thinking ‘what in the world?’ Here’s the scoop:

Sean Lavrisa, Savannah Arts Academy graduate, fell in love with Savannah College of Arts and Design student Gloria Mack. While they were dating, Sean enlisted in the USA Air force. After receiving an assignment to be stationed in Germany, Sean realized he could not leave the love of his life, Gloria, behind in Savannah, GA. Sean and Gloria eloped on March 17, 2014 then moved to Germany. Gloria always felt something was missing because she never had the wedding she dreamed of surrounded by family and friends. This week is the first time in three years they are together back in Savannah GA (returning to Germany afterwards) Sean, with the help of family and friends, decided to surprise Gloria with a wedding vow re-newel and big reception hoping it will be all that Gloria dreamed of. On March 24th 2017, at noon, in front of the fountain at Forsyth Park, Gloria will find out (via flash mob) that the next day she is having the wedding she always dreamed of. Complete with bridesmaids and groomsmen, flower girls, 140 family and friends, dinner and dancing– the whole shebang! Everyone has kept it a secret from her for months now. How will she react hearing the surprise?

Do you want to know how Gloria reacted? Videos (both the rehearsals and the real flash mob are on my YouTube channel. And here are a few pictures of the wedding the very next day after the flash mob wedding announcement.

What fun! Now back to writing “Killing with Kings,” the fourth book in my Savannah Georgia cozy mystery series. Please keep in touch- I’d love to hear from you.

Happy spring to you! Lois Lavrisa
